DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE LIKE HER?

Image
This request I make out of my compassion for all the women, who strive day in and day out to make this world a lovable and livable place.  I know, how hard it is, to keep all strings of life together, to keep everyday a sane perspective, look calm and collected, amidst the tempest of life, as soon as the day begins. gettyimages I am compelled to write this post because I have seen enough of pain and stress women take.  Life is full of mistakes but this year let's resolve to find out if you are a trap to any of these?  If you know someone like her, then show encouragement and share some kind words to motivate her to achieve her purpose in life. You may share this post with her to help her gain her strength back, even if it's a drop in an ocean.  So, I ask you to find out around you and help her find her cause :- IS SHE ONE OF YOUR TALENTED COUSINS OR YOUR NEIGHBOR? She was always a star. Good in academics or sports or something, she used to

Shell the Peas, Peel the Life :Benefits of Shelling Peas under the Sun

Image
Sitting on a cot and shelling peas under the Sun. Chattering, laughing, sitting relaxed with the woolens on one side and the faces getting as bright as the rays. A common sight,in bright winter afternoons. If not in flats, at least in colonies where this comradeship is still appreciated. Sheer time waster!  Can't they find something better to do?  Something, more useful?  So, I thought just like so many, oh-so-savvy-office-goers! Not, after a decade. "Shelling Peas under the Sun" is in fact a "luxury" not everybody can afford. WHY & HOW IT BENEFITS YOU - "TO SHELL PEAS UNDER THE SUN" &  IT IS SOMETHING YOU CAN'T BUY WITH MONEY! Strong bones, height, weight, blood circulation and lots more.   Many systems of our body can be strengthened just by sitting under the Sun. The precious sunlight is a rich source of vitamin D and it helps calcium to be absorbed by our bones.

Are you guilty as a Mother?

"My son doesn't like rice!" "My daughter wouldn't eat without switching on the TV." "My kid hardly eats anything." "My kiddo is so short and weak, what to do about this kid. I'm just fed up." All of us have heard same or similar mutterings around us from mothers. Old, new, doesn't matter. Almost all the mothers in their lifetime, knowingly or unknowingly make negative statements about their kids.  If you are not one of those, portraying a negative picture of your kid, then your kid would have been shining in the glory of your positive affirmation. No doubt. WHY KIDS BEHAVE THE WAY, THEY DO. Kids are no exception. If somebody praises your particular dress or behavior, you notice that you also like to adore that. You get regular in wearing that dress, which was appreciated. Or, you start behaving the way, people appreciate you the most. This is human psychology. Our kids are no different. T

Is it Enough to Keep our Homes Clean!

OFF THE PARCEL GOES... "Parcel the packet off the window". Last night leftover is to be adjusted. What's the easy way? Parcel the packet off the window.  This is the privilege you get when you live on upper floors.  And what about that parcel? Can't we throw it in the dustbin or give it to the garbage collecting boy? "Come on!" There are so many dogs around the lanes. They'll feast on the parcels.  So casual and so cool a reply. As if doing some kind of social service.  What about the people, who live downstairs?  None of our business!  How nice.  WE ARE WELL EDUCATED, CIVILIZED PEOPLE!  YOU ARE SELFISH  &  HAVE VESTED INTERESTS IF YOU POKE YOUR NOSE IN GARBAGE AROUND YOU!!! All the garbage strewn around the stairs.  A civilized, well educated MBA teacher in vicinity. She loves to keep her home hygienic by keeping garbage bin and all sorts of diya, puja things etc. around

Love 2016

Rahul's body was lying in the middle of the house. All relatives and neighbors had gathered to take his body to the crematorium.  Seema was updating her marital status ' Single' in her facebook account, least bothered about the mourners around. Her four year old Ayan came curiously to know why Papa was sleeping in open and so many people had gathered to take Papa somewhere. Without lifting her eyes off her phone, Seema replied, "Papa would come in a new get-up in a few days, you go and play."   ------------------------ Two days back, Rahul had come in the evening to say goodbye to us. Today he came back as a body. It was preventable, had somebody could understand his heart! When everything seems futile, nobody around bothers and life seems so insignificant in existing circle, that aiming for anything seems like - WHAT FOR? For last couple of months, he was staying in a paid accommodation provided by his employer. A pampered so
