Positive thinking : Achieving excellence

Most of us keep waiting for the perfect day to pop up somewhere.

But no. That day never comes perhaps because all the days are same. Only our perception and attitude changes the day from good to bad or bad to good.

With technological advances, we are carried away by the success stories or the portrayals of selfie obsessed people and start believing them word by word.

No world is perfect for anybody. The difference lies in our head.  We have to make the difference and for that purpose it's damn important that we do our best at this moment rather than waiting for a rose garden across the shore.

All of us can not be the moon but we can be a star in the arena we are working right now.  We can be a good human being. We can be a little more kind and compassionate.  We don't need to strangulate our relationships under the burden of false expectations.

What more is needed?

 A smile a day is more than enough to make this day and a sincere effort to carry on with a courageous heart. Then, you will find that you are already a star. The best in the role that you are playing and your aspirations will be realized sooner than later.

Wish. Mannat. Dua. Have you ever tried making a wish and realizing it getting true. Even that not so happening wishes for ice cream or your new iPod or for that oh so nice person in your life! People visit temple, mosque, church, gurudwara and whatnot. All the places are the same to me. You know, why? Because they make your wishes come true. But how? When we say we are part of nature and God is our own depiction then how come people visit different places of worship and still realize their wish or mannat. Why we have different gods in our hearts; we seek differently things; we believe in different belief systems but still we realize our individual wish or mannat fulfilled. Why? It was a tea time discussion among us, when one of our senior doctor colleague started a new thread.  She was getting a mixed bout of feelings when she shared her thoughts with us.  These thoughts were further evoked brain storming when I visited many villages and small towns of Rajasthan and found that this is something which really needed our attention. Her daughter was getting a scholarship to Singapore and she was supposed to join the said institution after her studies, that meant that her daughter would be gone out of her sweet home for about a decade, if not less! Delhi getting colder

I move. No. Do I say I shiver? Yes. I am shivering so I am moving. I am not moving ever since this winter has attacked full on in Delhi and I seem to be the most affected, I suppose. People are roaming around even in their half sleeves but I can’t even imagine myself without my four sweaters, one jacket, two layers of lowers, caps, gloves and socks to be the least items covering me from head to toe. A few days back, I saw a lady in Metro, in a half sleeves dress and seeing her left me in cold but this time I didn't react because I knew she was well off to afford a sweater and she was not in that strata of 'poor lady not having anything warm' types so I ignored. But last year, I literally made a mistake of melting on seeing a girl without socks  and sweater and I somehow felt pity on her. I removed my socks and sweater and stretched to offer them to that girl. She thanklessly and mercilessly took them and threw in the nearest dustbin available...
